Portrait of a Tree – III – “Persistance”

I love in this picture how this one tree managed to grow to maturity out of the rocks.  I’m sure that many other pine cone seeds landed in this area, but somehow, this one persisted and stands alone, proud and defiant.      Sometimes, this is what life requires of us:  Defy the odds, persist in the face of adversity, and in the fullness of time we will mature and thrive.

  2. What a great picture and how symbolic of life………..and sometimes how it feels to be in a wilderness season but still growing……….thank you for all you share…….I would love to see that area one day and will do………..bless you always!!
